Today at NADA Show 2024, NADA, in partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), honored the first 7 dealerships that have received ENERGY STAR certification. The dealerships receiving the prestigious ENERGY STAR designation, recognizing them as among the most energy-efficient dealerships in the country, are:

  • Acura of Sherman Oaks (Sherman Oaks, Calif.)
  • Brandfon Honda (Branford, Conn.)
  • Coggin Honda of Orlando (Orlando, Fla.)
  • DCH Tustin Acura (Tustin, Calif.)
  • Island Honda (Kahului, Hawaii)
  • Marin Acura (Madera, Calif.)
  • Thayer Honda (Bowling Green, Ohio)

Recognized by over 90% of Americans, the ENERGY STAR is a symbol of superior energy efficiency, and dealerships earning and displaying it send a clear message to their customers that they are working to reduce operating costs and emissions that can be harmful to human health.

Late last year, the 1-100 ENERGY STAR Score for Vehicle Dealerships debuted in the free ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager building benchmarking tool. Dealerships with energy performance scores of 75 and higher are given the ENERGY STAR designation and receive a certificate of achievement.

ENERGY STAR helps building owners and managers determine the most cost-effective approach to managing their energy use—enabling dealerships to save energy and money and boost competitiveness. For buildings, eligibility for ENERGY STAR certification means a dealership performs more efficiently than 75% of similar buildings nationwide.
